The problem

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

By far the most common question I get asked is how do I make the colour blend look realistic and super shiny ? The most common mistakes people make are:

  • Not taking your time
  • skip stages to speed the process up
  • Jumping into big walls before practicing on smaller areas

The polished plaster colour bled with gold leaf is by far the most complex venetian plaster design you will do, so it makes sense you wont get it right the first time . I cant stress this enough that it takes and to refine your skills . Its art at the end of the day and you need to find your own little style that works for you.

Enjoy the process and take your time.

Well, what if instead...

You knew how to blend the marbling

The colours and blend are so important and create the look making you one step closer to a perfect wall. Choose colours that sit well with each other and avoid over blending.

You could Refine you skills of applying the smaller veins

which add another layer of depth to your work. The small veins take time but join all the larger colours to achieve the marble look. use a quality brush and take images of real marble as inspiration.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Hi, I'm Luke Freeman

With over 7 years of experience as a general plasterer before specialising in Venetian plaster, I’ve spent my career mastering the craft from the ground up.

Plastering isn’t just a trade—it’s an art form.

I founded this school to help other plasterers take their skills to the next level, offering hands-on knowledge, real-world techniques, and a deep understanding of decorative finishes.

From solid fundamentals to advanced Venetian styles, I’m here to share everything I’ve learned—because when it comes to walls, there’s not much I haven’t seen.

Introducing...

Venetian Plaster Masterclass

This is not for beginners , the polished plaster colour blend with gold leaf is a long process as we have almost an hour and a half worth of lessons, But defiantly worth it in the end . everything I know I have included in the lessons to help you become a master of venetian plaster. I wouldn't recommend this course to someone who has no previous knowledge but we do cover all the basics if you do think you want to start in the deep end. From, what are sample boards? to marbling every stage is made to help you learn .

What's included?

The course is broken down into easy to learn steps. It may seem I go into a little bit too much detail with some things but its the small details that really matter when you get to the higher level of venetian plastering. By breaking the course down into smaller sections it makes it a a lot easer of you to go back thought the course at any time and look over sections that you have struggled with or just need a little reminder.

At the end of each lesson I go though common problems you may face and how to overcome them. Iv learnt the hard way so you don't have to .
